You see those guilty of it every day during our drive to work. Talking on the phone, texting, e-mailing, and eating while driving.
Sadly, each day 15 people die and 1,200 more are injured as a result of car accidents caused by distracted driving. Studies have also shown that people using a cell phone while driving are nearly four times more likely to be involved in a crash than drivers not using phones.
In July 2011, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced the results of a study demonstrating the dangers of distracted driving. The CDC study analyzed cell phone use and texting in the United States as well as seven European countries.
